Kinda scary isnt it how easy it can be done, and this is just for a hurricane.
As of this afternoon, our governor has declared a state of emergency for the state of North Carolina.
Because of state law, it is now illegal to carry any firearms off your own property.
I have already emailed the Second Amendment Foundation about this.
I suggest everyone else do the same.

unlawful for any person to transport or possess off his own premises any
dangerous weapon or substance in any area: (1) In which a declared state of
emergency exist…s; or (2) Within the immediate vicinity of which a riot is
occurring.” Violation of this provision is a Class 1 misdemeanor. N.C. Gen.
Stat. § 14-288.7(c). The term “[d]angerous weapon or substance” includes “[a]ny
deadly weapon, ammunition . . .” N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-288.1(2)
This is NC Statute. It has no relevance in common law among freemen.

Why is the entire state affected? Hans is correct: the line in the sand is being drawn right in front of us.

"5. Areas of Emergency and Riot — It is also a misdemeanor under North Carolina law for a person to transport or
possess, off his or her own premises, a dangerous weapon in an area during a declared state of emergency, or in the vicinity of a riot. N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-288.7
A concealed handgun permit does not allow a permittee to carry a weapon in these areas. N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-415.11(c)"

This is a real line in the sand! We need to have the thugs in Raleigh to change this law. These liberals will do anything to try to take your Liberies and Freedom away from you. Once it is gone, it's gone. Fight till you can't fight anymore.
It is at those times of crisis when I need my weapon the most.. Seems silly that while preparing the coast for a little weather, the state tells us in the mountains that we shouldn't carry our weapons as we do every day.. They work hard to make criminals out of all of us..

It's time all of us 60 Million sportsmen got together to tell these Government Teat Nursers that we are not going to take this gargage anymore.
