North Carolina Tea Parties Look To The November Election nbc news special

Credit to Kim Gerardo nbc news political anchor

Tea partiers in North Carolina have turned their immediate attention away from rallies and protests to the next big issue: the November election.

At a recent “kitchen table meetup” in Chatham County, all the talk among the group of 14 conservative-voters was ousting progressive county commissioners.

“I think the basic American does not feel represented that’s why these kitchen table meetups are starting,” said meeting host Randy Dye of Pittsboro.

They meet Wednesday evenings to talk politics and plan for the future.

Dye’s wife Gina led the discussion, “I really think November is going to be a test whether people are serious about change. We’ve had the rallies, the tea parties; it’ll be kind of a test to see if people are really committed to making the change or just making noise.”

N.C. 4th District Republican Congressional candidate BJ Lawson stopped by to hear concerns. He woos votes one by one, much like the tea party movement continues to build from the ground up.

But the tea party is not a political party. Right now the movement is a number of autonomous conservative groups with a common belief that the federal government in particular has expanded its reach too far.

“These are people who are really upset with status quo policy and the direction the country is going in,” said N.C. State University political scientist Andy Taylor. ”They generally beileve the government is spending too much, initiating too many programs, regulating too much and perhaps taking away too many liberties.”

But will these registered voters be a force of change in November?

“I think this will probably be a bad year for Democratic incumbents rather than Republican incumbents largely because of the general feelings out there amongst the public and those who identify themselves with the Tea Party movement,” Taylor said. “But will it be enough to push Republicans BJ Lawson and Bill Randall past Democratic incumbents like David Price and Brad Miller, respectively — that’s an open question. It’s going to be difficult, they’ve got a lot to overcome.”

Both districts have a heavier concentration of Democratic voters, so Repubulican candidates know they have to go after the unaffiliated vote.

The tea party movement includes many registered Republicans, but independent voters like David DeGerolamo of Wake County are attracted to the Tea Party cause as well.

“The recent financial reform bill was the final straw,” DeGerolamo said.

But even he admits ousting incumbents — no matter their traditional political party — is a long time coming.

“I think a national movement will occur over time. Some of the national movements right now are in it for personal agendas, and that’s not going to work when you are working with small grassroots groups at the state or local level,” DeGerolamo said.

Propaganda and Fear

The following story from ABC news needs to be read carefully. The headline of the story “Michelle Obama Rouses NAACP Before Vote Condemning ‘Racist’ Elements of Tea Party” seems to be implying that she is condemning the Tea Party. In no part of her speech was this said or implied.

The charges against the Tea Party outlined below are a sad attempt to discredit Americans. Let me know when someone collects the reward from Andrew Breitbart for the alleged racist comments made to a Congressman. Baiting patriots in Washington, DC by our speaker of the house and other congressman will not be forgotten. Lies and articles like this are desperate attempts to divert us from our efforts to restore the country.

First Lady Michelle Obama brought renewed energy to the NAACP today, delivering the keynote speech at the annual convention one day before the nation’s largest civil rights group is expected to condemn what it calls racist elements in the Tea Party movement.

The nation’s largest and oldest civil rights organization will vote on the resolution Tuesday during its annual convention in Kansas City, Mo.

In her speech, the first lady focused on the issue of childhood obesity and her “Let’s Move” initiative, but outside of her remarks, anti-Tea Party activism has been a key focus of the gathering, which conservative leaders say is driven solely by a political agenda.

Tea Party members have used “racial epithets,” have verbally abused black members of Congress and threatened them, and protestors have engaged in “explicitly racist behavior” and “displayed signs and posters intended to degrade people of color generally and President Barack Obama specifically,” according to the proposed resolution.

“We’re deeply concerned about elements that are trying to move the country back, trying to reverse progress that we’ve made,” NAACP spokeswoman Leila McDowell told ABC News. “We are asking that the law-abiding members of the Tea Party repudiate those racist elements, that they recognize the historic and present racist elements that are within the Tea Party movement.”

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, in coordination with 170 other groups, including labor unions, is planning a protest march in Washington, D.C., Oct. 10 as the next step in building momentum against the Tea Party.

The “One Nation” march is designed as an antithesis to the Tea Party, and it’s about “pulling America together and back to work,” McDowell said.

When Does the End Justify the Means?

“I am well aware of the toil and blood and treasure it will cost us to maintain this declaration, and support and defend these states. Yet through all the gloom I see the rays of ravishing light and glory. I can see that the end is worth all the means.
This is our day of deliverance.”

 John Adams

The above quote refers to our Declaration of Independence. In the past three weeks, I have seen two disturbing trends in the patriot movement. The first is the outright declaration by people that the federal government is not following our Constitution. To publicly state that the government is no longer bound by the rule of law leads to the second trend which is very disturbing: the federal government has been overthrown from the inside.

Although I could give multiple examples validating these assertions, there is only one that needs to be addressed to make the point. The federal government is suing the state of Arizona for simply enforcing federal law.

We have two choices for our future. If we continue on our government’s current path, we will suffer tyranny and slavery. Any infringement on our freedom is intolerable and was the only reason for the American Revolution.

The second choice will not be easy. John Adams saw it. George Washington saw it. Thomas Jefferson saw it. They made the right decision to give us a country worth dying for. I believe that the Lord blessed this country’s birth and ascension to be the greatest nation that the world has ever seen. When will you see it?

Independence Day or Dependence Day?

Do you have what it takes to celebrate July 4th? Download the Independence Day Checklist!

Do you celebrate Independence Day on July 4th? Most folks today do. After all, fireworks are hard to resist right? However, because the majority of Americans today recognize the government which was put into place March 2, 1867, they should actually be celebrating a little known holiday called Dependence Day. On March 2nd, 1867 the first of the unconstitutional Reconstruction Acts was passed. These acts annulled State governments, subjugated their citizens, created new States with new body politics (which are now being recognized) and unconstitutionally coerced the adoption of the 14th Amendment. This did away with states rights, nationalized our citizenship and totally removed the principles of self government and independence which had been established nearly 100 years before.

So this July 4th when someone says “Happy Independence Day”, perhaps your response should be, “Are you a state citizen?” Because unless they are, they may want to shoot their fireworks on March 2nd.

Check out the proclamation of this little known holiday below and learn more about state citizenship at AmericasRemedy.com and NCRepublic.org.

Proclamation

Whereas, on May 20, 1775 the Citizens of Mecklenburg County, North-Carolina proclaimed their Independence from the Crown of England, and;

Whereas, on July 4, 1776 the Representatives of the People of the several Colonies issued the Declaration of Independence, declaring the several Colonies independence from the Crown of England, and;

Whereas, on September 3, 1783 the Treaty of Paris was signed whereby the Crown of England acknowledged the Thirteen Colonies to be free, sovereign and Independent States, and;

Whereas, on March 4, 1789 the United States Government meets for the first time organized under the Constitution of the United States of America inaugurating George Washington as President, and;

Whereas North-Carolina maintained her Independence until November 21, 1789 when she voted to ratify the Constitution of the United States of America, and;

Whereas, The People of North-Carolina voted on February 28, 1861 to remain in the American Union, and;

Whereas, the people of North-Carolina believed that the Federal United States Government could not force one State to wage war upon another State, and;

Whereas on April 15, 1861 President Abraham Lincoln called on North-Carolina Governor John Ellis to provide two regiments of troops to wage war upon the principles of “all government of right comes from the consent of the governed” and “the people have a right to alter or abolish their form of government,” and;

Whereas, the people of North-Carolina were forced to decide to fight for President Lincoln or for the principles this Country was founded upon, and;

Whereas, Governor John Ellis replied to President Lincoln “I can be no party to this wicked violation of the laws of the country and to this war upon the liberties of a free people. You can get no troops from North Carolina.” and;

Whereas, North-Carolina left the American Union on May 20, 1861, and;

Whereas, in July of 1861, both houses of the United States Congress passed resolutions that the war was not for any purpose of conquest or subjugation and was in fact to “preserve the union with all the dignity, equality and rights of the several States unimpaired.,” and;

Whereas, The Armies of Abraham Lincoln were victorious, and;

Whereas, the Radical Republicans of the 39th Congress of the United States Government, having a super majority, on March 2, 1867, passed an unconstitutional enactment, called the Reconstruction Act, that annulled State governments, subjugated their citizens, created new States with new body politics and unconstitutionally coerced the adoption of the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution, and;

Whereas, the 14th Amendment “rid this nation of that pestilent heresy of states rights” through nationalizing citizenship and creating a “national” government in place of the Federal government established in the Constitution, and;

Whereas, James Madison stated in Federalist Paper # 39 “The idea of a national government involves in it, not only an authority over the individual citizens, but an indefinite supremacy over all persons and things, so far as they are objects of lawful government.” and;

Whereas, James Madison went on to say “In this relation, then, the proposed government cannot be deemed a national one; since its jurisdiction extends to certain enumerated objects only, and leaves to the several States a residuary and inviolable sovereignty over all other objects.” and;

Whereas, the United States Supreme Court stated in Elk Vs Wilkins, concerning national citizenship as founded in the 14th Amendment “The evident meaning of these last words is, not merely subject in some respect or degree to the jurisdiction of the United States, but completely subject to their political jurisdiction, and owing them direct and immediate allegiance.,” and;

Whereas, July 4th has been considered the date of the birth of Independence in our country, and;

Whereas, on March 2, 1867, the principles of self government and an Independent people were snuffed out giving The United States of America a new birth in Dependence upon the National Government.

Therefore be it proclaimed by John C. Ainsworth, Chief Magistrate of the North-Carolina American Republic, Re-established, December 1, 1997 that March 2, 2010 be celebrated as Dependence Day, in celebration of the 14th Amendment making United States citizens residing in North-Carolina dependent upon the National Government.

Done this Second day of March in the year of our Lord two thousand and ten.

Will the Real Mr Muffin Man Please Sit Down

Raleigh, N.C. — A civil rights group staging a non-violent protest brought the Wake County school board meeting to a halt Tuesday afternoon when it took over the board’s meeting room, standing together with interlocked arms and singing “We Shall Overcome.”

“Today, we register our legitimate discontent … We are willing to break a lesser law and accept the punishment to protect a larger law,” Rev. William Barber, president of the state chapter of the NAACP, said. “We are here to stay.”

About an hour later, Raleigh police arrested Barber, 46; Nancy Ellen Petty, 46, a pastor at Pullen Memorial Baptist Church in Raleigh; Timothy Buie Tyson, 50, a research scholar at Duke University; and Mary Debbin Williams, 48, on second-degree trespassing charges.

My feeling is if the liberal moonbats can call General Petraeus General Betray us and all the the other things these anarchist call conservatives, wonder if they would give me some room to say Mr Muffin.  Since I’ve been called a bigot, racist and every other name in the book for my Conservative Patriot beleifs.

I remember while back,  Mr Barber (will not refer to him as Rev) from the NAACP  interrupting my speech when addressing the North Carolina State Board of Commissioners for Community Colleges in  North Carolina.  The event was for public input on allowing illegal aliens to leagally attend NC Community colleges.  He interupted my speech yelling out “God has no boarders”  The moderator had to speak out at him that the audience had to give every person a chance to speak without interruption.   But I still disgaree with Mr Barber, God does have boarders.   Heavon and hell has borders that one may never cross, it’s up to us which border we chosse to cross, but it’s still a border none the less.

Go figure, My Barber spoke prior to me and everyone sat silent to allow him to speak.  Another double standard of freedom of speech.

This whole agenda on these anarchists is not about segregation, it’s about folks wanting to return to neighborhood schools.

If Mr Barber wants to sing” We Shall Overcome”  while he stopped a offical County meeting,may I suggest overcome a few Twinkies.

This is no longer about civil rights, everyone gets the same public education and every school gets the same amount of tax dollers per student.

I heard Mr Bill Randall, a black conservative speak at a Tea Party rally at the state capitol grounds on tax day.  I truely believe Mr Barber needs to watch Mr Randall’s speech.  I have the utmost respect for Bill Randall and I can also call him a friend, fellow vet and patriot.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIv1lJBervM&feature=player_embedded

I’m sure I’ll be hearing from the NAACP in the next couple of days and I’m not trying to say racism still doesn’t exist in the world.   But this is about a communty of tax payers just wanting to have neighborhood schools and not having their children being bussed away from home.  This has absolutely nothing to do about race.  Does eveyone understands what the opposite of diversity is, it’s to unify.

And don’t even get me started on the guy from Duke University.  I went to Duke to protest AL Gre when he spoke a few moths back on his lies on global warming and climategate.   What some of those students were saying to us was rediculous, they have been so indocernsated ny those liberal socioslist professos they got teaching now days, I actually felt sorry for them.
