TO ALL NORTH CAROLINA PATRIOTS:

In the land that I was born, the former United States of America, in the State of Georgia, a flag was ALWAYS to be flown from a flagstaff of some type, unless said flag is being retired for the day, draped over a coffin, or affixed to wall in such a manner as to properly position the Flag.

Having undergone Prisoner of War training for a week while in the United States Air Force I can tell you from personal experience that there is nothing so moving as to seeing Old Glory going up the halyard at the end of the training. It was enough of an experience that grown men were standing in the snow and mud CRYING AND SINGING the National Anthem spontaneously.

EVERYBODY FLY THE FLAG!!! THE GOVERNOR BE DAMNED!!! THEY CANNOT ARREST US ALL!!! THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH JAILS IN ALL OF NORTH CAROLINA!!!

This ban is a gross perversion of the authority of the governor and any forces under her control. My hope is that there are so many flags that Comrade Perdue and her forces will reconsider their stance … when they consider what the backlash would be if the news of this rule and these arrests go national … which we could certainly make happen.

I was part of the (over one million ) in DC on 9/12/2009 and we had signs and flags everywhere. The DC police even told us that we were the most friendly, respectful protestors that had ever demonstrated in Washington DC (PERIOD). I do not understand why this is a issue in Raleigh but it really doesn’t matter in the end because we will take back our country because we are fed COMPLETELY UP WITH BIG GOVERNMENT. Governor enjoy your stay!!

I think people should not only show up with flags, but we definitely need someone to video record any police restricting, the peaceful Tea Partiers. Likewise, at the rally we shold also start organizing a protest for our Governor. She’s not only scared of the Tea Party folks, but similarly, she also has tried to block us from fighting the very UN-constitutional Obamacare here in NC.

Beware!! We must stay focused, and stay peaceful. Supposedly, some people may be posers, and just try to start trouble at any of our rallies in order to discredit our movement.

OK so as a Veteran’s wife and a veteran’s daughter, I find this seriously disturbing. To block the way for the flag to be flown or displayed with such an idiotic rule is SO unfathomable. Would some please tell me then why my husband and father and friends served just to have idiots like this tell people that you can’t display the flag for any meeting.
I’m so ticked off that words actually fail me. What they are doing is throwing the sacrifices my family and friends have made in to our face and saying thanks but no thanks.

I’m sorry it’s not a longer note but again I’m so ticked that words really do fail me.

This article is giving me flashbacks! I attended a rally in Raleigh in November (I think!). I was appalled and terrified by the rule about flagpoles and sticks on signs. Even more frightening to me was the sheeple-like manner in which people complied! I am normally a fairly quiet sort of a person, but I just went ballistic. I started yelling for people not to comply. It was clear to me that day that most folks are going to go peacefully to the gas chambers while a few of us scream and yell and fight back. I made up my mind that I would go to jail that day to keep the stick on my sign. I have never been to jail, but decided in that moment that the principle was important enough to risk it. A funny thing happened…the authorities and the event planners kept negotiating and loosening the rules until they finally allowed those of us who disobeyed to keep our sticks and flagpoles with the caveat that they might have to come get them later. They never took them from us. It was much like the police officer at the U.S. Capitol who told my brother and me that we could not sit in our chairs at the Tea Party on September 11. We told him that we would continue to sit in our chairs and he could arrest us. He decided that he would let us sit there for awhile, but that he would come back later to make us move. Never saw him again. I say, “Fight! Make them back down.”

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The no flags on flag poles rule at the NC Capital grounds is nonsense and a major intrusion on our First Amendment rights. Who would have thought that we would ever come to the point in America where the right to freedom of speech (freedom of expression) protects one if you want to burn an American Flag, but in the State of NC it is “against the rules” (a chargeable offense) if you fly an American Flag on a flag pole while on NC Capital grounds!

Furthermore this Capital Police “rule” encourages citizens to violate the U.S. Flag Code. The code states:

Ҥ175. Position and manner of display
The flag, when carried in a procession with another flag or flags, should be either on the marching right; that is, the flag’s own right, or, if there is a line of other flags, in front of the center of that line.

(a) The flag should not be displayed on a float in a parade except from a staff, or as provided in subsection (i) of this section.

(b) The flag should not be draped over the hood, top, sides, or back of a vehicle or of a railroad train or a boat. When the flag is displayed on a motorcar, the staff shall be fixed firmly to the chassis or clamped to the right fender.

(i) When displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, the union should be uppermost and to the flag’s own right, that is, to the observer’s left. When displayed in a window, the flag should be displayed in the same way, with the union or blue field to the left of the observer in the street.”

Clearly the U.S. Flag Code intends for our country’s flag to be flown from a staff or pole. It is not to draped. It is a sad day in NC!

Every attendee should arrive with a giant American flag, and see how long it takes them to arrest every one there. The video images of peaceable law-abiding people being arrested for carrying our flag in a state of our union would be valuable images that would be seared into the national consciousness, and these images would serve to harden good Americans’ resolve all over the USA to take back this country. We need to do this, and dare them to arrest those flying our flag. The backlash would be immediate.

This site is holding a contest for the best video on health care reform. Here is one of the 20 finalists. As you can see in this video, the “artist” has no respect for our flag or the sacrifices by our soldiers and patriots to give us the greatest country that the world has ever seen.
Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. They believe that they’re superior to others and have little regard for other people’s feelings. But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

In this age of politically correct thinking, I wonder how much of our history has been sanitized or rewritten in order to increase our dependence on the state. No one would argue that our founding patriots were an independent group. They would never understand how the very freedom that they sacrificed their lives to give us is something that we freely give away.

I was never taught much about George Washington in school beyond the winter in Valley Forge, that he was our first president and the cherry tree fable. I was never taught that he was actually the eleventh president since there were ten previous presidents under the Articles of Confederation:

•	Samuel Huntington
•	Thomas McKean
•	John Hanson
•	Elias Boudinot
•	Thomas Mifflin
•	Richard Henry Lee
•	John Hancock
•	Nathaniel Gorham
•	Arthur St. Clair
•	Cyrus Griffin

What was the role that George Washington played in our history that led to the book:
The Real George Washington: America’s Most Indispensable Man? He was a soldier, farmer, father, politician, surveyor and explorer. Was he the man directly responsible for giving us the greatest country the world has ever seen? After reading this book, I realized that President Washington’s contributions to our country have been understated.

The depth of his faith in God (that would be our Christian God) was so complete that he never wavered in his devotion. He never accepted a salary for the eight years that he led the military and militias. Although he was not personally a wealthy man, he outfitted six naval schooners at his own expense to sail in the Massachusetts Bay in 1775. The flag that these ships flew was known as the “Washington Cruisers” flag shown below.

The tree represents the tree in Boston under which the Sons of Liberty would meet: the Liberty Tree. The liberty tree was actually an elm tree and had became a symbol of the Revolution before it was cut down by the British. “AN APPEAL TO HEAVEN” was a plea to God to protect our troops and guide our actions so that we could withstand the greatest military and financial power in the world. Washington knew that without God’s help, we could never succeed.

These words also are a reference to a resolution passed by the Provincial Congress of Massachusetts: “Appealing to Heaven for the justice of our cause, we determine to die or be free”.

Our country was built on the morality and virtue that religion provides. Without these values, our country has become nothing more than a collection of corrupt, career politicians who have sold our children into slavery.

Ask yourself why you have probably never seen or heard of the Washington Cruisers flag. The answer is simple: any reference to God is restricted in our schools and work place like the American flag, morality, virtue and truth. Our country needs a new appeal to Heaven in order to give liberty to the next generation. Unfortunately Socialism requires its citizens to be dependent on the state in order to survive.
